As part of the homestay agreement, hosts are responsible for picking up their student from the participating host school on the day of their arrival, as well as bringing the student back to the school (or another designated location) on the day of their departure. Please note, due to the timing of international flights the departure may require an early morning drop off.
Our staff will provide students with a general briefing regarding living etiquettes in a homestay family during their time in Australia. We also encourage them to ask lots of questions during their stay and we strongly recommend that you explain to your student your normal household arrangements i.e. use of telephone, internet, cooking, showering times, meal times, household chores, laundry routine, rules regarding having friends over, etc. as soon as practicable in order to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings. Please consider that for non-English speaking students these arrangements may need to be written down and carefully explained.
