VS Oceania facilitates intercultural experiences of varying lengths for visiting school students of all ages. These programmes allow the students the opportunity to attend local schools, homestay with an Australian family, and experience the unique way of life Australia has to offer. We also create an opportunity for Australian students to make friends from other countries and enjoy a taste of different cultures without leaving the country.

VS Oceania Pty Ltd homestay families make the Australian way of life a reality for visiting students opening their homes to students, as well as introducing students to the language and food of Australia, and including them in their regular family activities. We aim to match students and host families, through a combination of criteria including similar likes and dislikes, to ensure both parties get the most out of the experience.

Bilingual members of staff are available throughout the stay to host families and visiting students to aid with any linguistic problems, homesickness, or medical concerns that may arise during the programme. VS Oceania registered homestay families often come from host school communities, however adjoining schools may be called upon to assist in providing additional host families if/when required.

To register your interest to become a host family, CLICK HERE to complete the online Host Registration Form. A member of our homestay team will be in touch within 2 working days to arrange a suitable time to visit your home to meet with you and discuss your interests in becoming a host family. Should you wish to proceed with your request to register as a host family, you will be required to complete a Working With Children Check Form and a Host Family Questionnaire form which is used to match the student to your situation and living environment.

If successful, you will be invited to host a student from one of our future batches. You will be sent the student's profile which includes a photo and letter of introduction at least two weeks before arrival.
